Overview

Position Summary:
The Receiving & Purchasing Clerk supports the Food and Beverage Departments and other areas of the hotel by managing the receipt, organization, and distribution of goods. This role involves maintaining accurate records, collaborating with departments to ensure inventory and par levels are sufficient.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ordering & Inventory Management:
    • Collaborate with the Culinary team to place weekly food orders.
    • Work closely with the Chef to monitor par levels and conduct inventory checks.
    • Ensure all items are stored properly and maintain organized shelving in storage areas.
  • Receiving & Distribution:
    • Receive and verify incoming goods from vendors, ensuring accuracy of delivered products.
    • Unpack, inspect, and store products appropriately in designated storage locations.
    • Manage invoices for incoming shipments and maintain accurate records for all food and beverage outlets.
  • Chemical Handling & Safety Compliance:
    • Safely handle and store chemicals and toxic materials when processing supplies.
    • Adhere to all safety and emergency procedures, and report any hazards, suspicious activities, or safety concerns to Security.
  • Administrative & Departmental Support:
    • Assist the Distribution Center by answering phones and addressing inquiries from departmental managers.
    • Provide general support for department operations and contribute to team success.


Qualifications

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Experience handling invoices and managing inventory is preferred.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and handling of hazardous materials is an asset.
